Following the sad news of the passing of Dr Edgar Mann the Department of Education and Children paid the following tribute:

"Dr Mann made an enormous contribution to education during his seven years as Minister and then political member of the then Department of Education. Everyone in the DEC is saddened by his death and our deepest condolences go to his family."
