Sign up for online Tax services

by isleofman.com 24th June 2013

The 6th of  October deadline for submitting 2012/13 personal tax returns is now just over three months away and the Income Tax Division is taking this opportunity to remind everyone about our online services.

Using Online Tax Services enables people to manage their tax affairs from the comfort of their own home and avoid the potentially large queues at the Income Tax Division office, particularly in the final weeks before the deadline. Almost 17% of individual taxpayers already submit their tax returns online.

There are a wide range of existing services which allow people to receive tax returns, assessments, tax codes and letters electronically and calculate their tax liability immediately after completing their online return. Users can also review their balances, pay their tax bills and receive refunds of income tax overpayments paid directly into their bank account.

People wishing to register should go to www.gov.im/onlineservices and select ‘Income Tax’ where video guides to assist in completion of the registration and enrolment process and their income tax return can also be viewed.
