The Isle of Man track and field championships at the National Sports Centre on June 29 and 30 are to be sponsored by Celton Manx.

Organised by the Isle of Man Athletics Association (IOMAA) the championships are acknowledged as one of the highlights in the Island’s athletics calendar and will see the two most successful male and female competitors in each of the under-nines to under-17s age groups presented with their victor and victrix ludorum trophies.

New for the 2013 programme is the Dursley Stott 100m sprint challenge open to boys and girls in the under-15 and under-17 age categories, with cash prizes being sponsored by Dursley Stott.

Celton Manx executive director Bill Mummery said: ‘2013 is the second in our three-year sponsorship agreement with the Isle of Man Athletics Association. Encouraging sporting endeavour through strong reciprocal partnerships is at the heart of our corporate social responsibility strategy.
