Beach Buddies goes into the Forest - Tonight!

by isleofman.com 26th June 2013

The next session for Beach Buddies will switch, for the first time, to one of the Isle of Man's plantations. This (Wednesday) evening at 6.30pm they will be tackling a big clean-up at Chibbanagh Plantation, which is the one close to the Braaid crossroads and runs alongside the Mount Murray golf course.

The car park is around 300 yards Douglas side of the Braaid crossroads. From Douglas, drive past B&Q for about 1 mile and the car park is on the left as you go down the hill towards The Braaid.

They've had a good look at the plantation, and this is a really lovely place which suffers, like many others on the Island, from simple, careless and unnecessary litter pollution. Some of the rubbish we saw was, amazingly, only a handful of yards from the bins! Why?

As always, Beach Buddies will provide litterpickers, gloves and bin bags and dispose of the rubbish afterwards, recycling where possible.
