The PokerStars Isle of Man Darts Classic 2013 will give four lucky Manx players the opportunity to compete with four top names from the world of International darts. Taking place at the Villa Marina on 28 September the stars, including Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor will play four Manx players in the final who will have qualified from preliminary tournaments held on-island throughout the summer.
Sixteen-time World Champion Phil Taylor will be playing on the Island for the first time in fourteen years alongside renowned champions James Wade, Simon Whitlock and Michael van Gerwen who commented, " I am really looking forward to playing in this event as I’ve never been to the Isle of Man before, I want to meet the people and play the best local players and I'm sure I will enjoy it as much as I hope they will. We will all be trying our best to win. I can't wait."
The tournament will attract over a thousand spectators and brings the fun darts atmosphere to the island that so many local people travel overseas to experience. The final will be a full evening of entertainment featuring a celebrity host (to be announced), a raffle, a charity auction to raise funds for local charity Oskar’s Dreams as well as the final competition itself and plenty of opportunities for attendees to meet their favourite players. VIP Tables of 10 are available for ?1000, including a meet and greet with the players, prime location table seating, buffet and souvenir programmes.
Headline Sponsors PokerStars are also giving the four Manx finalists free entry into The UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) IOM heat which has a guaranteed prize pool of ?500,000.

Tournament Information:
The preliminary tournaments are free and open entry to anybody who turns up on the night.
3 x 501 playoff tournaments at each of the four events will occur, leaving two winners who qualify for the August Play Off. On the 9th of August, a VIP (to be confirmed) will host the eight down to four knockout tournament that establishes the four Manx champions.
