Island honours its armed forces

by isleofman.com 1st July 2013

The Island has paid its respects to service personnel past and present.

Armed Forces Day saw veterans and current serving personnel come together, marching along Douglas Promenade before a service at the Villa Marina.

The event culminated in afternoon tea and an evening of entertainment at which young people mingled with veterans.

One such veteran, Hector Duff, said all involved appreciated the public’s support along Douglas promenade.
