Police probe more graffiti at Government House

Police are investigating after nationalist graffiti was daubed at the entrance to Government House for the second time in four weeks.

Overnight, officers say somebody wrote “Go away governor and your BBC pirates” in Manx at the entrance to the Lieutenant Governor’s residence in white paint.

It follows a similar incident at the start of June when “Mec Vannin” was sprayed at the same location.

Police say they are investigating after a report of criminal damage and are appealing for information.

Mark Kermode, chairman of nationalist group Mec Vannin, says although he doesn't condone criminality, it's easy to see why people would be angry at the governor:
