by isleofman.com 1st July 2013

Pictured is the fabulous duo of Michelle Clark and Margaret Swindlehurst who are both turning 50 and wanted to do something different to mark the momentous occasion.

So the ladies are walking the Great Wall of China and raising funds to be split in two between Hospice Isle of Man and The Children's Centre.

They have organised lots of fundraising events and held a very successful cake sale in Ramsey Town Hall, raising ?450.

The walk is in April 2014 so during 2013 they are organising car boot sales, bingo nights, music events, quiz nights and dress down days to name a few. They are also both did this year’s Manx Telecom Parish Walk – Margaret finished it with Michelle getting all the way to Andreas.

The ladies also held bucket collections during the TT festive by going around The Creg and the Grandstand raising ?111. Margaret also worked four shifts at the Railway pub in Union Mills and is donating her wages to the charities, final amount to be confirmed.
