by isleofman.com 2nd July 2013

On Tuesday 9th July, the Isle of Man Wind Orchestra will be returning to St German’s Cathedral, Peel, to perform its annual concert as part of the Cathedral’s summer concert series for the benefit of its Foundation for Music and Arts.

‘Orchestra members enjoy performing at the Cathedral,’ says Musical Director Paul Dunderdale. ‘It is a good performance area and the audience is always very welcoming.’

The concert will commence at 7.45pm and will last about an hour. Admission is free and there will be a retiring collection.

The concert will feature light music the orchestra has been rehearsing this year and may include:

The Big Easy Suite by Martin Ellerby
Fun of the Fair by Duncan Stubbs
Dance Away by Rob Wiffen
Ye Banks and Braes o Bonnie Doon by Percy Grainger.

For further information about the Orchestra, contact Michael on 437751, email winds@wm.im or send a message via the website, www.iomwo.com.
