by isleofman.com 3rd July 2013
Mark Cavendish has won his first stage of the 2013 Tour de France.

He took victory in a bunch sprint finish at the end of Wednesday's fifth stage from Cagnes-sur-Mer to Marseille.

Cavendish fended off challenges from green jersey rivals Andre Greipel and Peter Sagan and crossed the line more than a bike length ahead of Edvald Boasson Hagen.

It's the Manx Missile's 24th Tour de France stage win overall.
