City wing offer to help Southampton passengers

by isleofman.com 4th July 2013

Following the shock news that the Isle of Man will lose its direct Southampton service later this month, Citywing is stepping in to ensure visitors from the South of England can still get a direct flight to the Isle of Man. Any passengers who were booked to travel to the Island from Southampton are being offered the opportunity to re-book onto a Citywing flight from Gloucester (M5) airport for ?1 less than they originally paid for a ticket from Southampton.

Citywing Managing Director, David Buck, said: "Protecting access to the Isle of Man and maintaining visitor numbers is crucial to the economy in these difficult times, especially with numerous air routes being reduced or withdrawn. We want to ensure that no one has to cancel their plans to visit the Island. Less than two hours’ drive from Southampton, Gloucester (M5) has great, fast, road access, 20 minute check-in and two weeks’ free parking.  With our offer to re-book passengers onto one of our direct flights for ?1 less than their original fare, we hope to save visitors time and money and get every trip to the Isle of Man off to a great start."

To re-book tickets, passengers should email their booking confirmation to reservations@citywing.com and Citywing will take it from there.
