Tynwald Day celebrations continue

Tynwald has completed its traditional outdoor sitting on the Island’s national day.

This morning, the court met at St John’s as the Tynwald Day ceremony got underway.

Lieutenant Governor Adam Wood started proceedings just after 10.30am, laying a wreath at the Island’s War Memorial.

18 new laws were promulgated in English and Manx, before those with petitions for redress of grievance moved forward:
