Protecting London air links - talks continue

by isleofman.com 8th July 2013
Talks are continuing with airlines about the frequency of flights from the Island to London.

That's according to officials at two government departments - Infrastructure and Economic Development.

There have been concerns about the link after BA CityFlyer announced last week it was cutting its early morning flight to London City and would only be operating one service per day for the forthcoming months.

The news came shortly after Flybe announced it would stop its Gatwick route as of next Spring and had sold its slots to EasyJet.

Airport Director Ann Reynolds says whilst the news is disappointing, work will continue to ensure the Island has a good London service for the business community.Clip 1
