by isleofman.com 8th July 2013
Police in Ramsey are investigating the theft of a marble memorial plaque. The plaque had been forcibly removed from a wooden plinth, situated on a grave within Lezayre Churchyard, Churchtown, Ramsey.

The plaque bears the following inscription, `In Loving Memory of Margaret Jane Burns`.  It was stolen sometime between February 2013 and the beginning of June 2013, and subsequently to the Police within the last few days.

Constable Steve Grainger would say “This has clearly caused a great deal of distress to the family of the deceased, and I would ask for anyone who has any information to offer, to get in touch with the Police at Ramsey on 812234.”
