Police investigation into death at Southern 100

Police are currently investigating on behalf of the Coroner of Inquests a fatal racing incident which occurred on the Billown Circuit at approximately 19.15 on Monday the 8th July, 2013 during a practice session. Details of the accident which occurred on the approach to Ballakeighan Corner are still unclear as specialist investigators examine the scene. 
 
Police are appealing for any witnesses that have not already spoken to Police that may have witnessed the accident who were spectators at the practice session to contact Port Erin Police Station on 631520 or alternatively Police Headquarters on 631212.
