by isleofman.com 9th July 2013

Pictured left to right is Nicola Walkinshaw, representing Cancer Research UK with Mary Doyle, PR and Marketing Manager of Rebecca House, children’s hospice with the very brave Rosalind Mills. Ros, aged 73, from Douglas is doing a charity tandem skydive in aid of both these worthwhile charities.

She commented: “I lost my husband 20 years ago to cancer, so I know what a horrible disease it is. “I wanted to  do something positive so I decided on what would have been his birthday on Sunday 11th August to jump out of a plane.” “I am afraid of flying so it will be a scary thing to do but I am determined to have a go.” “Last year I piloted a plane during a flying lesson!”.

Both Mary and Nicola thanked Ros for all her efforts for their charities. To sponsor Ros contact fundraising at Hospice on 647434.
