Collision causes Cav to miss out in stage 10 sprint finish

by isleofman.com 9th July 2013

Mark Cavendish missed out at the end of the tenth stage of the Tour de France today.
The route, from Saint-Gildas-des-Bois to Saint-Malo, was tailor made for a sprint finish.
As the riders approached the line Cavendish chose not to go with a lead-out from his own team, sitting in behind Andre Greipel's man instead.
He was then involved in a collision with Argos Shimano rider Tom Veelers, who went down, and didn't contest the sprint after that.
Marcel Kittel won the stage ahead of Greipel.
Cavendish was third, Peter Sagan fourth.
