by isleofman.com 10th July 2013
The Department of Social Care is to share the initial findings of five key areas of the Housing Review with Tynwald members to ensure they are kept informed of matters prior to the Housing Outcomes being presented to Tynwald in the Autumn.

Hon. Chris Robertshaw, Minister for Social Care commented;

”This Housing Review is in its closing stages and it is important my parliamentary Colleagues are as informed as the Local Authorities in the review of this important area of national policy.

The political engagement with all Housing and Non-Housing Local Authorities has been very positive to date and the Department will be finalising its policy recommendations for formal consideration by Tynwald in the autumn.”

The Housing Review will report to Tynwald on five project areas:

• National Housing need survey
• Affordable Housing opportunities
• Procurement
• Older Persons Housing
• Option appraisal for Public Sector Housing delivery

Anyone wishing to find out more about the housing review can visit the website on www.gov.im/socialcare.consultation.gov or email comments on consulthousingreview.dsc@gov.im.
