Island-based international marketing agency Ashgrove Marketing has announced ?1,000 of cash prizes for its Createurs competition, which sees designers, writers and photographers competing to develop works that support a business brand of their choice.

Ashgrove’s desire to help creative amateurs become creative professionals has led to Createurs, as the competition is aimed at helping amateurs learn how to focus their ideas, whilst also building a portfolio.

Interested creatives should email createurs@ashgrovemarketing.com before 20th July 2013 to register for the competition.

The categories are graphic design, writing, web & multimedia and photography, and all the category winners will enjoy cash prizes to the value of ?150 and significant exposure in Gallery Magazine this autumn. In addition, ‘Best Entry’ and ‘The People’s Choice’ award winners will receive ?200 and additional coverage. Entrants have the opportunity to win up to ?550 over multiple categories of a total cash prize pool of ?1000.

These significant prizes are available thanks to the generous sponsorship of Lloyds TSB, Best Entry and People’s Choice sponsors; Okells, Graphic Design and Copywriting sponsors;and Robinsons, Photography and Web & Multimedia sponsors.

Applications must be in by 20th July to allow entrants to have a series of meetings with an Ashgrove expert to run through their ideas.  The final deadline for submissions is then 10th August and the awards ceremony will be held at The British on 19th September.

Ashgrove’s Brand Strategist, Graeme Brooks, commented: “It’s a great opportunity with great cash prizes.  If you enjoy doing creative work, why wouldn’t you do it?”
