Equiom is delighted to announce their support once again for talented local cricketers - Garreth Roome and Max Stokoe.
Garreth and Max together with the rest of the Island’s national cricket team will compete in the 2013 Pepsi ICC European Division One Championship taking place in the UK from July 8th to 14th. This championship will see the two finalists winning a trip to the UAE for the Global ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier in November, from which six teams will qualify to compete for the ICC World Twenty20 Championships taking place in Bangladesh in 2014.
Equiom’s Legal Director and the Island’s cricket team Manager, Barry Smith said; “Garreth, Max and the rest of the team did extremely well in Corfu last year. Their win resulted in the team being able to compete at Division One level in this year’s championships. We are delighted to support both Garreth and Max once again and everyone at Equiom wishes the team every success. For me personally, I am also delighted to be part of the team this year and will be there with them as all the action unfolds.”
Garreth who works in the Client Accounting team at Equiom, speaking ahead of leaving the Island; “From our success in Corfu last year playing in Division Two, there is obviously huge expectations on the team to perform well as we compete for the first time at Division One level.” Garreth added; “For me and the majority of the team this is the highest ever level of competitive cricket that we’ve ever had to face over the years representing the Island. I am very proud to represent the Isle of Man, and I’m very grateful for the support received from Equiom both last year and again this year."
