Douglas rider dies at Southern 100

Douglas racer Mark Madsen-Mygdal has been killed during the Southern 100.

The 23 year-old lost his life in an incident at Stadium Corner during the 600cc Supersport race this morning (Thursday), organisers have confirmed.

He leaves a mother and father, Dave, an experienced TT competitor.

The Southern 100 Club has extended its sincere condolences to families, relatives and friends of Mark.

A full investigation is being carried out into the incident.

The Coroner of Inquests has been informed.
