The Mayor of Douglas Councillor Carol Malarkey has hosted a reception for students from Liuyang in Hunan Province during their visit to the Island.
The students, from Liuyang’s Number One High School, were in the Island as part of a long-standing exchange agreement with Ballakermeen High School.
Liuyang is acknowledged as the fireworks-manufacturing capital of the world.
