Delegates arrive on Island ahead of SCFMP

by isleofman.com 14th July 2013
Delegates are arriving on the Island today (Sun) for the Small Countries Financial Management Programme.
It's the fifth time the Isle of Man has hosted the event, which Chief Minister Allan Bell helped to launch back in 2009 when he was Treasury Minister.
24 officials from finance ministries, central banks and regulatory bodies will be taking part in the programme.
The Island aims to use its financial expertise to try and bring tangible assistance to developing small countries from around the world including nations from Africa, the Caribbean, Pacific and Indian Ocean regions.
Mr Bell says the scheme is about longer term support for small countries, rather then the immediate help provided by overseas aid.
