Nedbank staff rise to team challenges

by isleofman.com 15th July 2013

Bank staff from the Jersey and Guernsey offices of Nedbank Private Wealth have joined colleagues in Douglas for a corporate team training event.
Over two days 12 staff worked on team collaboration challenges, to explore the difficulties they face working in teams spread over multiple locations.
One of the challenges utilised a day on the Sailing for the Disabled yacht Pride of Mann ll, which Nedbank Private Wealth is entitled to as one of the charity's platinum corporate sponsors.
The second day was spent at the Children's Centre community farm outside Douglas, on its corporate personal development programme, a social enterprise offshoot of the charity.
Bad weather on the sailing day prevented the ocean-going yacht setting sail but skipper Roger Clague set the staff challenging team tasks, including getting eight people across the harbour in a two-man dinghy in search of coffee!
Nedbank's senior training executive Lynn Kelly led the training in conjunction with both Island organisations.
