In athletics the Isle of Man's Jack Lemaire has qualified for the men's 100m final at the Natwest Island Games, which takes place later today.


He equalled his personal best of 11.18 seconds in the process, clocking the third fastest time in his heat.


Meanwhile Charlotte Bawden ran a season's best time of 12.81 seconds to make the final of the women's 100m.


And in the men's 800m Ryan Fairclough has comfortably made it through to the final, which takes place tomorrow.

In the team event in badminton the Isle of Man's players take on Bermuda in the semi-final later.


In tennis Mark and Ryan Chinn have made it through to the quarter-finals of the men's doubles after beating Brekku and Dahl of the Faroe Islands 6-2, 6-3.


Meanwhile, in the women's singles Katie Tinkler and Laura Feely both progressed to the quarter finals, following straight sets victories.


There have been some new benchmarks set in the swimming.


Guy Davies set a new Island record in his 100m backstroke heat.

Grant Halsall broke the Island 50m backstroke record in his heat.


And the men's swim team set a new Manx mark in their 200m medley heat.
