Police investigating theft of bookcase

Douglas Police are investigating the theft of a large mahogany bookcase taken from the area of Albany Street, Douglas between 5.50pm and 5.55pm on Tuesday 16th July 2013. The item was left outside for a matter of minutes while a van was brought around to collect it. The bookcase was being donated to a Charitable Organisation.
 
The bookcase is described as being dark mahogany and about 5ft in height, 5 ft in length and 2 ft deep with 9 storage compartments so would have been noticeable and required two people to carry it.
 
Two males were seen carrying a large piece of furniture across Albany Road and into Woodbourne Lane at the relevant time. One of the males has been described as being late 30’s to early 40’s with balding dark hair wearing a grey hoodie and black tracksuit bottoms. Dark skinned, possibly Asian or European and overweight.
