Police appeal after chickens killed

At sometime between 12pm and 4pm on Monday 15th July 2013, a number of chickens, have been attacked and killed at a farm on Garey Road, Lezayre.  It is believed 2 dogs are responsible for this. The dogs were both brown, one of which has been described as large.
 
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in  this area at the time, or who knows who these dogs belong to.
 
PC Dave Thommeny said: “I would like to remind the public that dogs should be kept under proper control anywhere near livestock. This incident has caused both upset and financial loss to the owners of the chickens. Any help in getting to the bottom of this incident would be gratefully received.”
