The Capital International Group recently sponsored the Buchan Duathlon 2013. This fantastic event was held last month at The Buchan School and organised by Neil MacGregor, PE teacher and Head of Prep for the students in P3, aged between 6 and 7.
On the day the weather just about managed to hold as the children were challenged with the task of running 400m, cycling even further for 800m before completing with a final 200m sprint finish. In total, 34 children took part, all crossing the finish line a winner with each being presented a medal and keeping their T-shirts donated by the Group as a souvenir. These were quite significant distances, almost a mile, for this age group - but this is only the beginning as they now prepare for a greater challenge, a triathlon next year.

The Capital International Group would like to congratulate to all the promising athletes and the school for organising the event, instilling a positive and can do attitude in their students of ‘P3 don’t just TRI – we DU.’
