Parish funding offers hope for Laxey nursery

There’s still hope Laxey’s only pre-school nursery facility can be saved – despite staff being told they’d lost their jobs as the term reaches its end today (19 July).

The Salvation Army, which owns the building that houses the Noah’s Ark nursery, wants to sell it.
Negotiations have seen parents joining forces with the Church of England to try to lease the building for another year.
Schools Officer for the Diocese James McGowan says talks could still save the nursery:
