Police are hunting thieves who stole fuel from the old Marown School in Crosby.

Officers say those responsible struck between TT week and last Thursday, taking around 2,000 litres of heating oil from a tank at the building in Old Church Road.

Whoever took the oil would have needed a vehicle to make off with it – police are appealing for anybody who saw anything suspicious to get in touch.

If you can help you can contact Peel police station on 842208.
