The President of Tynwald, the Hon Clare Christian, has added her congratulations to the many being extended to Team Isle of Man after the Manx squad finished top of the medal table at the 2013 NatWest Island Games in Bermuda.

Madam President said: ‘For the Manx team to have brought home 97 medals is remarkable. Along with records broken and “PBs” achieved it is a reflection of the extremely hard work which competitors, coaches , organisers and supporters have put in to represent the Island with such determination and commitment.   Our team has not only shown true Manx grit in the challenging temperatures and humidity of Bermuda, but they also served as outstanding ambassadors for the Isle of Man, showcasing a wealth of extraordinary Manx sporting talent to an international audience.  They deserve our sincere congratulations for making the Island Games 2013 such a resounding Manx success…Yindyssagh!’
