Southern show chance for farmers to thank public

by isleofman.com 26th July 2013
The Southern District Agricultural show will be a chance for farmers to thank the public for their support during this year's heavy snow.
So says the president of the show which gets under way at 10am tomorrow and continues 11am on Sunday.
David Kennaugh says it's always a great chance for people to get much closer to what farming is all about: (play audio)

Unfortunately the showjumping event has had to be postponed due to the ground at the show site being too hard for the horses.
It will now take place at Conrhenny Equestrian Centre at 11am on Sunday, August 4.
Everyone entered into the showjumping this weekend will automatically be entered and new entries can be accepted until Wednesday, July 31, by contacting show secretary Sarah Comish on 494 497.
Anyone with difficulties about the new date should also contact her.
The working hunter event will take place at Great Meadow as scheduled this Sunday but with lower fencing.
