New-look Island see off Didsbury

by isleofman.com 29th July 2013
The Isle of Man had to work hard to earn to 2-0 victory against a well-organised West Didsbury on Saturday.

A much changed Island line-up won at the Bowl against opponents who had defeated St John’s 3-1 the previous evening.

Debutant Louis Thornton opened the scoring with a header three minutes before half-time.

The Corinthians player was joined on the scoresheet by Peel’s Andrew Crennell as he sealed the victory eight minutes from time.
