First quarterly performance update is published

by isleofman.com 1st August 2013

The first quarterly update was yesterday (Wednesday 31 July) published on the Isle of Man Government’s new performance management website.

It represents the first time comprehensive information about Government’s performance has been made available to the public online.

The aim is to provide Isle of Man residents with a snapshot of the progress Government is making towards achieving its national priorities.

The initiative forms part of Chief Minister Allan Bell’s focus on delivering change and his commitment to greater transparency and accountability.

The performance website sets out what Government intends to deliver over the next three years and enables the public to monitor progress of objectives included in the Agenda for Change document, focusing on the 5 policy themes of –

•         Our Economy
•         Environment and Infrastructure
•         Good Government
•         Income and Expenditure
•         Welfare Reform and Wellbeing
The website provides details relating to benchmarking and trends which will build up over time to provide a fuller picture of how Mr Bell’s administration is performing against its targets.

The second quarterly update will be published by the end of October 2013.

The website can be found at http://cf.gov.im/about-the-government/the-council-of-ministers/ and via the Chief Secretary’s Office web pages http://www.gov.im/cso/ministers/

It is subject to further development and members of the public are encouraged to provide feedback about the site by emailing performance@gov.im

The Q1 performance report is available here - http://cf.gov.im/media/506681/q1_performance_report.pdf.
