Second sunniest July on record

by isleofman.com 2nd August 2013

Met men at Ronaldsway Airport say July was the sunniest the Isle of Man has seen for almost 60 years.

The Met Office says temperatures topped 20°C on 15 days, while there were 291 hours of bright sunshine

That made it the second sunniest on record, only beaten by 1955.

It was also dry as well as hot and sunny – with only half the usual amount of rain falling over the course of the month, and almost half of that fell on the final day of the month.
