Damage has recently been caused in the yard area at Ballasalla Primary School. Several plants have been upturned, and many of which have been urinated on. This type of behaviour is clearly not acceptable and is something that the Police cannot tolerate. Over the summer holidays, the Department of Education have given permission for their grounds to be used as a place for children to play, however this type of behaviour may lead to this privilege being removed.
PC Kyle SAYERS, the local officer for Ballasalla commented “Anybody acting in an antisocial manner, whether on school grounds or not, over the summer months, will be dealt with promptly, and taken home to parents/ guardians where necessary. Please don’t abuse the good will of the Schools by damaging their property, but instead treat it with respect.”
The SNPT would ask parents that they pass this message to their children.
