Trim your bush, says DoI

by isleofman.com 6th August 2013
The Department of Infrastructure’s reminding householders about their duty to keep neatly-trimmed bushes.

In a public notice, the department says hedges need to be cut back to property boundaries under the Highways Act 1986.

It says it’s received a number of complaints from the public about unkempt growth, and may start serving notices to force property owners to comply.

In June, the department said it would scale back its hedge-cutting operations because it didn’t have enough cash to continue its operations.
