Boat helped to port by lifeboat

by isleofman.com 7th August 2013
Two visitors to Peel's Traditional Boat Weekend had an exciting start to their trip last night.

Their vessel, which was travelling from Bangor, lost power a mile from the Island's coast.

Peel lifeboat towed the stricken ship to harbour after the two crew raised the alarm just after 11pm.

The 24 foot yacht was safely in harbour by 12:30am - no one was hurt in the incident.
