Flares reminder from Coastguard

by isleofman.com 8th August 2013
The Coastguard’s reminding people to dispose of maritime flares safely after spent casings were found on a beach.

The expended flares were found on Castletown beach today, and coastguard personnel say they’re not sure where they’ve come from.

But they say anybody with any expired flares can arrange for coastguard officers to come and collect them for safe disposal.

The organisation says they should never be dumped at sea or set off if they’re past their use-by date.
