Green flags go up in Douglas

Environmental excellence has been officially recognised in the Island’s capital.

The official green flag has been hoisted above the marine sunken gardens on Loch Promenade in Douglas.

Along with Noble's Park, the two spaces were last week awarded flags for their sustainability, safety and cleanliness.

The annual Green Flag Award scheme launched in 1996 and is run by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.
