Island skies expected to shimmer

by isleofman.com 12th August 2013
A dramatic meteor shower is expected to travel over the Island tonight (Monday) – and there could be plenty of good vantage points.

The Perseids meteor shower is expected to peak and be seen in many parts of the Island, particularly where there is little or no street lighting.

Chairman of the Island’s Astronomical Society, Howard Parkin, says the natural phenomenon can include up to 100 of the flaming objects being visible in the sky in just one hour.Clip 1
