Council's plan for hi-tech bins

The capital's council will soon put micro-chips in all residential bins.


The technology sends information to the local authority who can then plan collections better and distribute man power more appropriately.


Some home owners in Douglas already have the chips installed, but older bins will now be converted too.


Douglas Council Leader David Christian outlines why they're undertaking the ?40,000 project:
