England selection for teen Island golfer

Young Isle of Man golfer Herman Laubser's recent performances have earnt him a place in the England Under-16s team to play against Spain next week.



The 14-year-old Mount Murray member came fifth in the recent English Boys Under-14 Open Amateur Stroke Play tournament.



That followed 27th and 42nd places in the Under-16 and Under-18 equivalent, respectively.



England take on Spain on Tuesday next week at Heswall Golf Club in Cheshire.



The format will be foursomes in the morning followed by singles in the afternoon.



The rest of the team will be Matty Lamb (Northumberland), Billy Spooner (Lincolnshire), and Arrun Singh-Brar (Hampshire).
