FSC warns of fake AXA website

by isleofman.com 13th August 2013

The Island's Financial Supervision Commission is warning the public to steer clear of a bogus website.

The site claims to be connected to the insurance company AXA and calls itself AXA Isle of Man.

The address of the website is fxaxa.co.uk.

It claims to offer a full range of financial products but appears to be primarily of Chinese content including a Chinese telephone contact number.

The FSC says scammers using a genuine firm's name to lure in unsuspecting customers.

The site even falsely claims to be based on Walpole Avenue in Douglas.

The FSC is warning the public to be aware of sites like this which have no relationship with either genuine Manx companies or the Isle of Man.
