Peel RNLI lifeboat called out for second time in three days

by isleofman.com 15th August 2013

Peel RNLI lifeboat has had a busy few weeks and has just been called out for the second time in three days.

At about 4-30pm yesterday  (Wednesday 14th August) "Ruby Clery" along with its volunteer crew launched to assist a 32 foot yacht with two people on board. The yacht "Sofi" was experiencing overheating problems and could not run its engines for more than a few minutes. The lifeboat accompanied the yacht to a short distance off Peel and then took it in tow into the bay.  The yacht was then able to restart its engine and manoeuvre into the inner harbour under its own power.
