Ramsey’s Mersey class RNLI lifeboat, the RNLB Ann and James Ritchie, was launched at around 17:00 yesterday, Wednesday 14th August, to go to the assistance of a small recreational pleasure craft positioned just off Ramsey Harbour.
The locally registered vessel had completely broken down and the one person on board was unable to restart it. Ramsey lifeboat was on scene within about five minutes and took the vessel safely in tow to Ramsey Harbour. After ensuring that the casualty was safely moored in the upper harbour Ramsey lifeboat then returned to station.
