Island students have set a new record with this year's A-level results.
The number of passes at top grades is the highest on record.
The overall pass rate at just over 97 per cent is in line with recent years - with students gaining an average A-level result of just over three Grade Bs.
Three hundred and fifty Year 13 students sat 1,150 A-levels and 230 AS exams in more than 40 subjects.
A close analysis of the results reveals some key positive features.
The pass rate at A* to B grades at 43.6 per cent is the highest on record, up on last year's figure of 40.9 per cent.
The overall pass rate at 97.1 per cent beats last year's 96.5 per cent and under the UCAS tarriff system the average points scored per studet at 314 is equivalent to higher than three A levels at grade B.
Head teachers say the vast majority of students have been accepted at either their first or insurance choice university.
Several students have been awarded 4 A* passes.
The education minsiter has congratulated students and their teachers on a excellent set of results - Tim Crookall says it's a boost for the whole Island to see young people being so successful.
