A 10-year old Douglas boy is starting to enjoy the summer holidays after being given the 'all clear' following months of treatment for a cancerous brain tumour.

Alfie Crellin who attends Fairfield School was diagnosed with the life-threatening condition last December.

A 12-hour operation was followed by extensive radio and chemo-therapy but last month, scans revealed Alfie is cancer-free.

The youngster is now back at home enjoying family life with his five brothers and sisters.
