Douglas lifeboat called to fishing vessel

by isleofman.com 16th August 2013

Douglas lifeboat went to the aid of a fishing vessel off the Island’s coast yesterday evening.

The crew sprang into action just before 6pm when the 10-metre boat got into difficulties four miles east of the capital in worsening sea conditions and approaching mist.

The lifeboat used radar and the VHF direction-finding to find the boat before towing it back to harbour.

Nobody was hurt during the incident.
