Ballanard Road to open later today

by isleofman.com 16th August 2013

The Department of Infrastructure is pleased to advise that Ballanard Road will re-open to traffic on Friday 16th August by 4.30pm.

The road and footway reconstruction works between Glencrutchery Road traffic lights and Norwood Drive have now been completed and the works to the side roads will be finished early next week.

Further footway works between Barrule Road and Norwood Drive will be continuing through the MGP period with temporary traffic lights with carriageway resurfacing works commencing in early September.

Helped by the generally good weather and focussed work effort the scheme is ahead of programme and it is expected that the works will be completed by mid October approximately 1 month ahead of the original programme.

The Department would like to thank motorists and residents for their ongoing patience and co-operation during the final stages of this project.   If you have any concerns or queries regarding these works, please phone 850000.
